weekend lowdown

oh hello there!
I realize it is late afternoon on Tuesday. And the weekend is already way over but here is my weekend in pictures!

My weekend actually started on Thursday, which was lovely, and ended on Monday, which was even lovelier!

Thursday started with getting out of work early and enjoying the fall foliage.

Having dinner with some lovely ladies, where we had a turkey dessert, naturally and my baked potato skin looked like a heart after I was done with it :)

Then we got to go see Breaking Dawn! There really wasn't too much Twilight paraphernalia but there was this lovely set up of Alvin and the Chipmunks! I just love them!

Saturday started with a little college Thanksgiving dinner. This was our 8th annual Thanksgiving dinner. We all get together and share stories, catch up, send care packages to soldiers. It's rather heart warming. <3

Saturday night consisted of attending the Marching Band's "Wrap Up" Dinner, where all the kids, staff, and families get together, eat and enjoy what they worked so hard for over the past 3 months. They worked hard and they deserve to be rewarded. The entry was beautiful! Set up with all their props from their trip around "The Gallery"

On Sunday, I taught a little dance class (no pics) and it was so much fun! The kids are great and I can't wait to work with them next summer.

Completed the weekend on Monday, with a little birthday surprise dinner for my friend Meg. I wasn't going to go but decided it would be better for me if I did and it was great to see everyone there as well. Meg had a tough week last week and she deserved to be celebrated in more ways than one!

How was your weekend? Fit everything in that you hoped to?

I hope so!

twilight link up

ok, ok, can you believe it? I, like many girls in their 20's, LOVE twilight.

For the longest time, I said I would never read the books, never watch the movie. "Vampires are for silly little girls" (yeah, I went there)

but my goodness! I swear it is like Stephanie Meyer put crack in the pages. I could not put the books down, to the point where I was staying up until 3 a.m. to finish them (with work the next day)

So today I decide I will link up with Tara at fabulous but evil for a one time Twilight Link up!

So here goes...

Are you going to see Breaking Dawn at the midnight release?
Of course I am! I saw New Moon and Eclipse at the midnight showings with my sister, who turned me on to the books. I have to keep the tradition alive!

Scene you're most looking forward to in Breaking Dawn?
Honestly, the wedding. I can't wait to see her dress and hair and Edward's face as she walks down the aisle and hear the vows. Obviously the honeymoon scenes as well. What girl doesn't want to see that?!?

Team Edward or Jacob?
While I do love Jacob, I am enamored by Edward. Isn't Edward what all girls dream of? An old fashioned man in our time. Courting and love and romance and undying love. He is what we all covet. His passion is unique.

Favorite book in the Saga?
New Moon by a long shot. I know you all think I am crazy. But this is the most real for me. Bella's loss is so great she has no idea what to do with herself. When I got to the December & January chapters and they were blank pages, that spoke VOLUMES to me. There was a time in my life where I felt exactly like this, that time was passing but nothing was occurring. I relate to this book the most.

Why do you love Twilight?
Twilight brought my love for reading to the surface. I was never a big reader, a few books here and there throughout the year but I was never avid about it. Now I try to read a book a month at the very least. This is so corny but Twilight also made me believe in love again. I was in a terrible place when I started reading the series those years ago, part of me is still struggling but I find the hope of love is something fantastic. Hope is something and a step in the right direction.

YOU should link up with Tara. She is fabulous (but evil)! {see what I did there, hehe}
She also has great Target Tuesdays and I find some really good stuff there!

thankful part two

I know I was supposed to do my thanks on Friday BUT I was away...please forgive me!

Last week, I was and will always be thankful for my friends.

The ones who pull you up when you are down, the ones who make you laugh til you cry, the ones who are always there no matter how far.

Big. Small. Old. Young. They get you through everything in life.

I tear up as I type this post because my friends mean the world to me and I love them all dearly. The ones who worry about me, I know you love me, and I'll be ok. :)

I hope everyone has people like I do. Appreciate them. Squeeze them. Love them.

And please make sure and tell them what they mean to you.

Ta ta for now my dahlings! :)

weekend lovelies

this weekend was spent sleeping, reading, coaching, driving, singing, dog walking, crafting

all lovely things, indeed

Friday was "Halloween" in my boss's and aun't neighborhood since there was no power on actual Halloween. I didn't dress up but I hung around with some skeletons and mummies. All I snacked on was candy, onion dip, and wine. Ahhhh I'm such a healthy eater (bahahaha)

Sometimes I coach colorguard. Oh yeah, I'm a band geek. I coach at a regional school in MA and I have 11 girls (there I am with them up there!). They are the BOMB! I love them all so dearly. It's basically dancing with flags, rifles, and sabre. Maybe I'll post a video on here someday. So we had our state finals on Saturday and they won the show! How cute are they, honestly?!??

This is the end of their show. It's a trip through "The Gallery"

Sunday was spent dog sitting a friend's pup. He is only 4 months old. How cute is this fella, huh?

Well, we went for car rides, a short walk and then a hike! It was such a beautiful New England day here, we just had to be outside.

it truly was a lovely weekend. Was it just as lovely for you? :)

thankful part one

To keep me posting on a weekly basis this month, I've decided to do a weekly "thankful" blog for the month of November.

November is sort of a lost month in many minds. After Halloween, Christmas is on the brain. Don't get me wrong I looooooooooove Christmas! But Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday where we eat until our hearts content and remember to be thankful for all the wonderful, beautiful people and things we've been blessed with in our lives.

I am so thankful to have the family I do. My mom, dad, sister and extended family are always there for me. No matter what may happen or how I may be feeling, they are there along side me.

Mom, Dad, Sissy...

I love you all so much more than you will every know. Thank you for being you.

ta ta for now beauties!
