new day, new dawn, new life for me.....

And I'm feelin' gooooooooooooood....

The end of the year 2011 is approaching and I have been thinking A WHOLE LOT...

You know, we all have this "plan" in our mind, when we are younger, of how our life will turn out when we grow up. Absolutely NO WHERE in that plan did I think 29 and single would be in the same sentence.

Yet here I am. I've been single for almost 5 years now. I've dated a few guys here and there since the BIG break up (more on that to come in a later post) but only one to really call home about.

But I couldn't call home. He cares about me but "has a lot going."

Really, he's just trying to find himself and has a huge fear of becoming his father, who has a history of bad relationships and divorce. But the more he doesn't want to become him, the more I see him actually turning out just like him and it breaks my heart because he has so much potential (more on this later as well).

So back to square one for me.

Trying to find myself before I find Mr. Right. That's how it should be done, right?

29, single, no dating prospects. Trying to start a dance club at a high school I coach the colorguard at (marching band woohoo). Figuring out my career which I have a serious love/hate/depression relationship with.

I am an extremely passionate person throughout all aspects of my life. I throw myself heart first into anything and everything I do. Somehow, my friends think this "makes it easy" to be friends with me.

Dancing and teaching are my passions. I plan on exploring those to the ends of the earth. I am passionate about loving my family and friends and people I come in contact with.

This life is too short and too beautiful so I'm taking advantage and loving it until the very last drop.

I'm not feeling too good just yet. But I hope to get there. I WILL get there.

2012, you better watch out! <3

it's coming...

this is my parent's B-E-A-UUUUUUUUUUU-TIFUL tree with no ornaments...yet.

i put it up a few weeks ago and my mom has officially finshed the tree with ornaments and all the cute little things we put on it as well the skirt.
(just haven't been home to take a pic of it yet, bad daughter)

my sissy and i put up the tree together. we have to get a fake tree because i am allergic (huge downer)

normally we have white lights because i think white is classier, more sophisticated, prettier

but mom wanted a little color in her life. and she deserves it <3

so we please, we please :)

i hope you're tree is up and shining brightly in your home. it's the best kind of christmas cheer!

weekending...

Over the next few days (to get in the habit of the daily post) I am going to recap my past few weekends of December.

First weekend up...MY BIRTHDAY! wooohooooooooo

Started the weekend off with a birthday beer at work around 3pm (nothing like getting a brewski in before the work week is even over)

Saturday started with a baby shower (of which I have no pictures from because I am a SLACKA)

Then on to our annual Stonehill Christmas Party! All of our friends get together and we do a Yankee Swap. It is so much fun and we just love to catch up with each other and have a grand ole' time.

the spread, YUM

the wine, double YUM

shots all around for the gentlemen

giggling like a school girl because they think I'm taking a shot...

oh snap, I am!

some of the girls "gathering" around Amy

getting ready for present picking!
same girls closer to the end of the night, this was immediately followed by Christmas Carols in the dining room

On Sunday, I had my college BFF's wedding shower, and I took absolutely no pictures because I was running around, like the good bridesmaid I am! :) Her mom took pics and if I can get some, I'll be sure to post them here. Below is my outfit for the day and my VERY messy room.
Hey! It takes a lot for a girl to pick out her own outfit. She has to see what she's got in that closet of hers!

And below is the final picture from that weekend. This is not my tattoo but only a place where I am thinking of getting one. I think this tattoo looks SO SEXY! I want my next one right here!
So that was the first weekend in December. Pretty eventful and busy. I love being busy but it sure makes me tired, doncha think?!?

toodaloooooo for now :)

dear boy...

I just love elise's pieces to pieces! :)

So I'm just linking up with her today and my favorite Christmas Love song.

But I only have one dear boys...

Dear Mr. Banana Pancakes,

I miss you and your silly, scratchy bearded face. It's my favorite part of you because it houses your smile. Could you please get your crap together and be with me?

thanks,
hopeless

not exactly a love song but one of my favorites sung by Mr. Otis Redding, himself!

Just gets me in the mood for snuggling and some Christmas spirit!

it's my.....

BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

ok well.....it's not exactly my birthday....yet. It's on Saturday.

I'm under the impression that once you get to a certain age (I'm not THAT old) that your birthday should last a WHOLE month.

I mean, don't we deserve it for all the hard work we do in our lives?

What's a little extra celebration?!?

I love birthdays. Really. Getting older when some don't have the privilege.

Reminds you to live every day like it's your last, doesn't it?

This month, this holiday, and my birthday remind me all the time to live this life to the last drop.

And I plan on doing so, don't you?

weekend lowdown

oh hello there!
I realize it is late afternoon on Tuesday. And the weekend is already way over but here is my weekend in pictures!

My weekend actually started on Thursday, which was lovely, and ended on Monday, which was even lovelier!

Thursday started with getting out of work early and enjoying the fall foliage.

Having dinner with some lovely ladies, where we had a turkey dessert, naturally and my baked potato skin looked like a heart after I was done with it :)

Then we got to go see Breaking Dawn! There really wasn't too much Twilight paraphernalia but there was this lovely set up of Alvin and the Chipmunks! I just love them!

Saturday started with a little college Thanksgiving dinner. This was our 8th annual Thanksgiving dinner. We all get together and share stories, catch up, send care packages to soldiers. It's rather heart warming. <3

Saturday night consisted of attending the Marching Band's "Wrap Up" Dinner, where all the kids, staff, and families get together, eat and enjoy what they worked so hard for over the past 3 months. They worked hard and they deserve to be rewarded. The entry was beautiful! Set up with all their props from their trip around "The Gallery"

On Sunday, I taught a little dance class (no pics) and it was so much fun! The kids are great and I can't wait to work with them next summer.

Completed the weekend on Monday, with a little birthday surprise dinner for my friend Meg. I wasn't going to go but decided it would be better for me if I did and it was great to see everyone there as well. Meg had a tough week last week and she deserved to be celebrated in more ways than one!

How was your weekend? Fit everything in that you hoped to?

I hope so!

twilight link up

ok, ok, can you believe it? I, like many girls in their 20's, LOVE twilight.

For the longest time, I said I would never read the books, never watch the movie. "Vampires are for silly little girls" (yeah, I went there)

but my goodness! I swear it is like Stephanie Meyer put crack in the pages. I could not put the books down, to the point where I was staying up until 3 a.m. to finish them (with work the next day)

So today I decide I will link up with Tara at fabulous but evil for a one time Twilight Link up!

So here goes...

Are you going to see Breaking Dawn at the midnight release?
Of course I am! I saw New Moon and Eclipse at the midnight showings with my sister, who turned me on to the books. I have to keep the tradition alive!

Scene you're most looking forward to in Breaking Dawn?
Honestly, the wedding. I can't wait to see her dress and hair and Edward's face as she walks down the aisle and hear the vows. Obviously the honeymoon scenes as well. What girl doesn't want to see that?!?

Team Edward or Jacob?
While I do love Jacob, I am enamored by Edward. Isn't Edward what all girls dream of? An old fashioned man in our time. Courting and love and romance and undying love. He is what we all covet. His passion is unique.

Favorite book in the Saga?
New Moon by a long shot. I know you all think I am crazy. But this is the most real for me. Bella's loss is so great she has no idea what to do with herself. When I got to the December & January chapters and they were blank pages, that spoke VOLUMES to me. There was a time in my life where I felt exactly like this, that time was passing but nothing was occurring. I relate to this book the most.

Why do you love Twilight?
Twilight brought my love for reading to the surface. I was never a big reader, a few books here and there throughout the year but I was never avid about it. Now I try to read a book a month at the very least. This is so corny but Twilight also made me believe in love again. I was in a terrible place when I started reading the series those years ago, part of me is still struggling but I find the hope of love is something fantastic. Hope is something and a step in the right direction.

YOU should link up with Tara. She is fabulous (but evil)! {see what I did there, hehe}
She also has great Target Tuesdays and I find some really good stuff there!

thankful part two

I know I was supposed to do my thanks on Friday BUT I was away...please forgive me!

Last week, I was and will always be thankful for my friends.

The ones who pull you up when you are down, the ones who make you laugh til you cry, the ones who are always there no matter how far.

Big. Small. Old. Young. They get you through everything in life.

I tear up as I type this post because my friends mean the world to me and I love them all dearly. The ones who worry about me, I know you love me, and I'll be ok. :)

I hope everyone has people like I do. Appreciate them. Squeeze them. Love them.

And please make sure and tell them what they mean to you.

Ta ta for now my dahlings! :)

weekend lovelies

this weekend was spent sleeping, reading, coaching, driving, singing, dog walking, crafting

all lovely things, indeed

Friday was "Halloween" in my boss's and aun't neighborhood since there was no power on actual Halloween. I didn't dress up but I hung around with some skeletons and mummies. All I snacked on was candy, onion dip, and wine. Ahhhh I'm such a healthy eater (bahahaha)

Sometimes I coach colorguard. Oh yeah, I'm a band geek. I coach at a regional school in MA and I have 11 girls (there I am with them up there!). They are the BOMB! I love them all so dearly. It's basically dancing with flags, rifles, and sabre. Maybe I'll post a video on here someday. So we had our state finals on Saturday and they won the show! How cute are they, honestly?!??

This is the end of their show. It's a trip through "The Gallery"

Sunday was spent dog sitting a friend's pup. He is only 4 months old. How cute is this fella, huh?

Well, we went for car rides, a short walk and then a hike! It was such a beautiful New England day here, we just had to be outside.

it truly was a lovely weekend. Was it just as lovely for you? :)

thankful part one

To keep me posting on a weekly basis this month, I've decided to do a weekly "thankful" blog for the month of November.

November is sort of a lost month in many minds. After Halloween, Christmas is on the brain. Don't get me wrong I looooooooooove Christmas! But Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday where we eat until our hearts content and remember to be thankful for all the wonderful, beautiful people and things we've been blessed with in our lives.

I am so thankful to have the family I do. My mom, dad, sister and extended family are always there for me. No matter what may happen or how I may be feeling, they are there along side me.

Mom, Dad, Sissy...

I love you all so much more than you will every know. Thank you for being you.

ta ta for now beauties!

Happy Halloween!

So I'm blogging twice in one day...why?

BECAUSE I CAN! :)

(this will not count as the "twice a week" post, I promise)

Now even though today is Halloween, every one knows the adults have Saturday night for their fun!

Went to a party where the theme was song titles.

Everyone came dressed up and it was a blast. We played twister, orange pass, and musical chairs.

It was some great adult fun.

I didn't take many pictures but there was a photo booth (via an iPad and a printer) and it was so much fun!

I went as "Let's Get Physical" but have NO pics of the costume. I suck and am still new to this putting pics on the blog thingy.

Here's some photo booth fun for your viewing pleasure :)

Enjoy the day beauties...

Starting again...

Hello blog world!

Last week was a great big week for me! A few things happened in my little internet life.

Someone is actually following my blog! eeeep *waves at Gentri Lee* :)

And I picked up a crazy amount of followers on Pinterest.

When I joined pinterest, I figured this will just be me pinning a bunch of things that I think are adorable and give me some inspiration to be more creative, a way for me to organize all my thoughts. And now I have followers! People who are interested in what inspires me. People that I actually don't know in real life! (I'm pathetic, it's true)

So here I am...writing my 5th blog post, and committing to you...all of you, my very first follower and also my future followers (fingers crossed, knock on wood and all those good things)

I promise to blog twice a week, at the very least. I aspire to blog more than that but I have to start somewhere.

I hope to make some new friends and have some good ol' fashion fun!

And follow me on pinterest here

take care beauties!

I confess...

Woohoo! I am so excited to actually join this link up! So let's get to it...

i confess...I've had blogger for a couple months now and this is only my 4th blog post but hey! I'm trying!

i confess...I really only joined blogger to join these link parties and this is my very first one...eeeekkkkk I suck

i confess...I have big dreams but have no idea how to acheive them or even where to begin

i confess...I just deleted a confession of being in love because I don't want to face it yet

i confess...I am at work right now, thinking of things to confess, talk about procrastination on the job...

i confess...I haven't washed my hair since Friday. I normally wash every 2-3 days so I am right on track.

i confess...I would like to live last Friday night over and over and over again but am not even sure it'll even happen once more.

i confess...I don't always wash certain things after one wear...I don't want to waste the water and if there are no visible stains and it doesn't stink...then why wash?!? Too many washes ruin clothes...right?

woooohooooooooooooo! So excited I actually did this :) I don't have any followers but if you happen to stumble across my page, PLEASE check out Carissa's blog....Carissa Explains It All

Toodalooooooooooooooooooooo
